The Cherry Boy (w.d.)

Kalckreuth was susceptible to the influences of his period, but with stranger outcomings ... The cherry boy is portrayed in the most naturalistic fashion on a sunny landroad, but the trees and the fairy-tale like meadows are quite art nouveau. This tree is too bendable for climbing (as so many art nouveau trees), but even a young boy in his first year of school can shake it without having to lay aside his new accessories.

One pencil has fallen to the ground, and two others are following in this exact moment, and his book looks like the young boy is a passionate studier and learner.
